PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad: Another bomb has exploded in Trinidad; this time at a popular nightspot in St. James, west of the capital Port of Spain.
The device described as “low in density” exploded shortly after 7 pm on Friday evening on the Western Main Road on the sidewalk of the popular “Smokey and Bunty” bar in St. James. Around eleven persons were initially reported to have been injured in the blast.
They were all rushed to the Port of Spain general hospital. Some were seriously injured but no one was said to have been killed. There were reports of human blood spills at the scene of the explosion. The incident was described as chaotic.
One eyewitness said there was a loud rumbling noise, following which there were screams, with persons seeing lying on the ground. The Trinidad police have now arrested five persons in connection with the bombing, one of them a top member of a local radical Muslim group, known as the Jaamat-al- Muslimeen.

The third on September 10 at the KFC food outlet on Independence Square, one person suffered minor injures, and now on October 14 at St. James, with eleven persons being injured, some seriously.
