MODERATE EARTHQUAKE RATTLES PARTS OF GRENADA, TRINIDAD ...
A moderate earthquake rattled parts of Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada and Venezuela on Friday but caused no major damage or injuries, officials said. The 5.5 magnitude earthquake struck about 6:30 p.m, the University of the West Indies Seismic Research Unit reported. There were no reports of injuries or significant damage following the quake, the second in five days, authorities said. The epicenter was at sea, about 45 miles (72 kilometers) northwest of the capital, Port-of-Spain, said the U.S. Geological Survey in Golden, Colorado. Officials warned of possible aftershocks. A magnitude 4.9 earthquake jolted Trinidad and Grenada on Monday, and also caused no major damage or injuries, according to reports. Reprinted from yahoo.com
