CARLENE RADIX MD. MPH, APPOINTED GRENADA’S NEW CHIEF ME...  
Local medical doctor Grenadian Carlene Radix, has been appointed to the office of Chief Medical Officer (CMO), in the Ministry of Health. Dr. Radix who holds a Masters in Public Health degree, (MPH) took up her appointment today Tuesday November 1st, 2005 succeeding her predecessor Dr. Bert Brathwaite who acted as (CMO) for several months. Dr. Radix who is also an Assistant Professor, in the department of Public Health and Preventative Medicine at the St. George’s University (SGU), obtained MD in May 1997 at (SGU) and her (MPH) from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in May 2003. Commenting on the challenges the nation’s health care system faces in this post Ivan Emily period as Grenada continues to build back better, Dr. Radix said she hope to make a significant input by developing and helping to improve the existing system and health infrastructures thereby improving the quality of services that are available. This according to the new (CMO) is one of the many ways the Grenada’s health care system cane move forward with the help and support of all Grenadian, since taking Grenada’s health care system to a higher level will require a collective effort.
