RETRO FETE IN BROOKLYN TOMORROW NIGHT AT THE PALACE
"New Yorkers are in for a dose of serious classics, authentic retro music, and sophisticated fashions on Saturday, November 12, 2005 at The Palace Night Club in Brooklyn," say Gerry Hopkins and Karl Archibald, the organizers of The Back In Time Fete. According to Hopkins, "This one is for the mature; for the grown and sexy; for the sophisticated music lovers who appreciate the classics." The fully-loaded event, with a cast of veteran DJs, headlined by Grenada's, St. Vincent's, and Trinidad's number one - Hot Wax, Super Eyes, and Conquering Lion JP, respectively, is designed to pay respect to the great music of yester-year. The other DJs in the line-up are heavyweights Joe Bailey of FM 96.7 and Gus Music Works. Several other celebrities are expected to grace The Palace with their presence that night. The invited guests include Dennison George with his hit song "Tell Me Lies" from the new album Crossing; virtuoso Becket; and conscious lyricists Admiral Bally, Slinky Shark, Rouff Draff and Skina & Cure. An added feature will be the presence of the fashion models of Designer Donna J. Moore's 2006 Calendar, making their final public appearance before they journey to Jamaica for an exotic fashion show and photo-shoot. The Back In Time Fete will be hosted by communications specialists Gerry Hopkins and Caribbean TV broadcaster Irvine Simon. More information on this event can be obtained by calling 347-742-7256 or 646-339-1819.
