NEW BRITISH HIGH COMMISSIONER FOR EASTERN CARIBBEAN  
BRIDGETOWN -- Britain has appointed a career diplomat as its new high commissioner to the Eastern Caribbean, the high commission said. Duncan Taylor, 47, assumed the post on Monday and will have responsibility for Barbados, Antigua, Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts, St. Lucia and St. Vincent, the high commission said Friday. Taylor entered the British Foreign Service in 1982 and has held posts in Cuba and Hungary. His most recent assignment was as deputy consul general and deputy head of mission in New York.
