PRELIMINARY ROUND OF ST. GEORGE NORTH EAST COMPETITION CONCLUDED

ST GEORGE'S- Red Out ended the preliminary round of the St.George North East competition on a high by thrashing a lack lustre Tempe All Blacks by six goals to one at the Tempe playing field on Saturday.
Kelly Alexander scored the first hattrick of the competition for Red Out, with contributions of one goal each for Wendell Bridgeman, Aaron Ross and Junior Anderson.
Michael Chiddick got the consolation goal for Tempe All Blacks. Mark Berkley of All Blacks saw red for dissent.
This game had no bearing on the qualifying positions which were already determined, with Red Out in first, Vendome Marvelites in second, Hampshire United in third and Tempe All Blacks in fourth position all proceeding to the semi-finals.
Red Out finished the preliminary round with a perfect record winning all of their seven games, scoring the most goals; twenty seven (27); while conceding the least eight (8).
In the twenty eight (28) preliminary games played one hundred and ten (110)goals were scored with three games being drawn.
The competition will take a one week break while the constituency knockout is played beginning Monday 21st June and ending Sunday 27th June.
