NNP THROW’S DOWN THE GAUNTLET TO THE NDC
Tuesday 31st January 2012. Political Leader of the New National Party (NNP) Dr. Keith Mitchell has thrown down the gauntlet to the ruling NDC Administration of Hon. Tillman Thomas. Speaking at the NNP’s Rally at La Tante in St David on Sunday, the Opposition Leader described the ruling NDC as history. He went on to speak of the unity and togetherness in the NNP the party he states that represents every stratum of the Grenadian society. In a much anticipated address to the thousands gathered, the Former Prime Minister spoke on some of the plans of the NNP should they return to office in the near future. He spoke of the need to unite all the people of Grenada regardless of their political leanings or face failure in moving Grenada forward. He also spoke of inviting individuals from other political parties to join an NNP Government to assist in the rescue mission to save Grenada . This he said is in keeping with the NNP’s philosophy which promotes a culture of love not Hate and Spite. The NNP he proclaims is a party that has no time to be involved in ‘harassing’ political opponents, because it would be fully occupied with the job of moving the nation forward. Speaking of the NDC Government ‘pauperizing’ the country, Dr. Mitchell also made reference to several other measures his government would immediately embark upon to end the suffering of the Grenadian people and create employment. Initiative such as: · An end to political victimization of public workers · Restoration of safety net programs introduced under the last NNP Government · Improvement in the healthcare system · Raising the salary of road workers · Introduction of the Integrity Commission and Declaration of Assets · Reduction of VAT on several items including some funeral expenses · Concessions on Tourism related vehicles · Attraction of viable Foreign Direct Investment · Smaller government Dr. Mitchell who won three consecutive terms as Prime Minister of Grenada also spoke of the plight of the people who have lost money in CLICO/BAICO, SGL and CapBank saying that his government would move speedily using all resources available at its disposal to find a solution to these issues which have removed millions of dollars from the Grenadian economy. This was the first national event of the NNP for 2012. The party continues to remind all Grenadians to get registered as the enumeration process is presently underway around the island.

Good morning Littleboy. And to your question: No, Pastor Winston Garraway should never be trusted to check out anything regarding another person's behavior or action. The guy is purely an attention seeker who is trying to gain entry into the political arena. I would like to know what his credentials are to qualify him to run for office. yes, his social change and justice activities and involvement, political experience and educational background. Grenadians must step up up the pressure to having these guys answer to their constituencies as to their background and material and financial worth before they can be allowed to run for office. It's the only way we stand a chance of ridding the country of corrupt leaders and parliamentarians. Shouldn't we learn lessons from Joseph Gilbert, Keith Mitchell, Lauren Waldron, Francois?

Observer can we trust Pastor Winston Garraway to check anyone? This is like having the police check on themselves, or having the mice check the cheese

Good morning Gabe. Though I have argued with you over many issues, I certainly have to give you some kudos on that one, "...the leader of the opposition made a statement where it is claimed that the road workers were stressed out because they had to work in the HOT SUN,and were poorly paid well has any of these workers ever been to Canada or America OR England where come rain, snow, hot sun, people still have to get up and go to their daily task/work and no work no pay..." You're undoubtedly on the money here. I think some of our political leaders are to be held for the laziness of some of our government employees and ineefective and inefficient of some of our civil servants. As a people, we really need to learn some sort of work ethics from the industrial countries. Keith is going to use whatever strategies is necessary to blindfold voters...Grenadians must be aware, assertive, vigilant and aggressive in our reflection and comprarisions between his performance and that of our present leader. We need to look at both ethical behaviors and on the job performance in order to determine which direction our votes should go.

Well said St,Andrews we like pain and suffering to even consider Keith Mitchell to rule Grenada again is insane. He destroyed any brotherhood here by helping his cronnies,he put green jersey against yellow jersey for his personal gains, does that reminds you of Gairy?what I cannot understand after thirty something years after Gairy Grenadians have not learn.Guess they like crumbs, guess they donot want to think outside the box and look at his history. If he is elected Grenadians will deserve the wrath that will befall them.No more Keith Mitchell again, send him into retirement with his illgotton gains.

Well well here we go again, and it is fair to say that the oppositions is in the election mode going by their shopping list as to why Grenadians yes our people should vote for them come the next election. Now lets take a close look a their manifesto/menu (2)improving the health care system,my god this is the same last government who built the brand new hospital near the sea as a show piece, but forget to equipt it with proper equiptment examples beds that dont rust, screens, thus allowing the sick to have some sort of privacy and proper medication (3)raising the salary of road workers well here we go again and my question is where are we going to get the money and will we be getting value for money because sometime last year the leader of the opposition made a statement where it is claimed that the road workers were stressed out because they had to work in the HOT SUN,and were poorly paid well has any of these workers ever been to Canada or America OR England where come rain, snow, hot sun, people still have to get up and go to their daily task/work and no work no pay, now i ask is this a vote thing also lets have a look at no (4 )again i ask has the opposition party gone bonkers or have they seen the light and is this not the same man who it is quoted with reference to the money in the suitcase again i ask where was the intgrity and why no commission of declaration of Assets of persons in public office were never put place. VAT yes i do agree needs to be look at. concession on tourism vehicles what the hell does that mean. Oh here we go again attraction of viable foreign direct investment again the opposition have some History here-watch this one- Small government again what do they mean, does that mean that they want smaller numbers/MP in parliment.yes we are in an election mode and santa claus is promising goodies ,but at what cost to grenada yes we are in an election mode, and we need to be careful what we vote for because it may come back like a boomarang and knock us out on the head one love.
