The public is hereby notified that the Governor-General, Her Excellency Dame Cecile La Grenade, GCMG, OBE, PH.D, will be out of the state from July 5 -22, 2014 during which period Dame La Grenade will have a private audience with Her Majesty The Queen on the July 9, 2014 and be knighted by Her Majesty, at Buckingham Palace, on July 11, 2014.
Following these activities, Her Excellency Dame La Grenade will travel to the United States on private business.
The Governor-General will be accompanied by her Aide-de-Camp, ASP Randy Connaught.
In absence of Dame Cecile La Grenade, Sen. Dr. the Hon. Lawrence Joseph, President of the Senate, will function as Deputy to the Governor-General.

bro.Joe sad to say but within our commonwealth countries there are still those who aspire to be things that they are not and when such position is offered ,you know they will jump at it especially if a knighthood or an obe or mbe is offered ,for example our current GGis someone who is from a well to do background,someone who wants for nothing,and others would ask as to what can she do for Grenada interms of inward investment,well she may have some answereS on her return from England after collceting her award from Hm the Queen ,the head of our OPPRESSORS,
