PRIME MINISTER MOURNS THE PASSING OF DOMINIC PAUL
On behalf of the Government and people of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique, Prime Minister Dr. The Right Honourable Keith Mitchell extends his most profound sympathy to the family of Mr. Dominic Paul. Mr. Paul lived an exemplary life in service to our nation; propelling Grenada to the heights of modernization in Healthcare services through his vision to establish the Spice Isle Imaging Center—the first of its kind here in Grenada. Through his initiative, many of our ordinary citizens are able to access appropriate diagnoses right here; whereas in the past, travel to a different country would have been necessary. Moreover, not only are the services of the Imaging Center accessible; they are also affordable. Mr. Paul’s generosity rendered him unwilling and unable to refuse services to the poor among us who were unable to afford the basic fees. Prime Minister Mitchell recalls numerous occasions on which he called on Mr. Paul to assist the poor and vulnerable among us with the provision of basic health services. Mr. Paul answered that call each time. Prime Minister Mitchell joins the nation in mourning the “untimely” loss of this inspirational gentleman; but encourages everyone to celebrate his life and his tremendous contribution to the development of healthcare. What Dominic Paul has given to Grenada will far outlive his life here on earth, and will be cherished and remembered for generations to come. May his family find comfort in this difficult period, and may his beloved soul rest in peace. Source: gov.gd UPDATE: Team GC extends heartfelt condolences to Mr. Paul's family. He was an enthusiastic supporter of this Web site. May his soul rest in peace.
