The Grenadian Health Ministry is reporting confirmation of twelve (12) cases of Chikungunya on the mainland. The announcement was made on Tuesday by Acting Chief Medical Officer Dr. Alister Antoine who said the twelve cases were laboratory confirmed by the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) in Trinidad and Tobago. Chikungunya cases were confirmed in every parish with the exception of St. Mark and St. John he told a meeting of technocrats. The parish of St. George recorded a total of 5 cases, St. Andrew 3, and St. Patrick and St. David 2 cases each. Dr. Antoine pleaded with residents to continue being vigilant by taking the necessary steps to reduce the spread of the infection. He said that wearing protective clothing including long sleeves and pants, using mosquito repellents and fans can help to avoid being bitten by mosquitoes. However he cautioned, that absolute protection can only come from proper sanitation. He urged parents of children under the age of twelve, to seek medical assistance if their child or children display signs of Chikungunya Virus. Antoine continued by advising adults who experience the symptoms to take two Panadol every 4-6 hours for at least five days, and if symptoms persist to seek medical attention. GRENADA CONFIRMS TWELVE(12) LABORATORY CASES OF CHIKUNG...
OMG! What we fail to realize that the times we are living in are "perilous times" just as the Bible says and the Bible also says in "Matthew" that perilous times will come and when we see these things, know that it is just the "beginning of sorrow". What people need to do is cover themselves under the blood of Jesus Christ, repent of their sins, humble themselves and pray and get ready for the coming of the Lord, Jesus Christ. Stop blaming the government or the system or anyone for that matter. Things would not change, they would only get worst. People need to turn to God who is the author and the finisher of our faith. Trust in God with all your hearts and lean not on your own understanding. In ALL of your ways acknowledge him and he WILL direct your paths. This is the solution to all the problems we are faced with in the World today.

Grenada ,My lovely Grenada Lord i ask you as to what in gods name is happening to our lovely country and our people ,lord help us ,for it appears that this current Government of Kcm and his bunch of opportunistic do nothing ministers is taking our lovely country to the dogs ,for one just have to look around and see that nothing positive is being done to help and assist our people ,take this Chikungunya thing ,for i can remember growing up as a boy in grenada when the then health Ministry used to come around and clean and spray our swampy gutters and also educate people on the dangers of infected dead waters and filty ponds in and around dwellings, but today it seemd that this is a thing of the past for one just have to take a good look around the entrance to the market in St. Georges and in Grenville back street drainage and see for yourself the state of our health care management throughout the island and the pro-activeness of our people healthcare here in Grenada,Mr Mitchell during the last election you and your party promise our people a better life from that which was under the last Ndc Government of Tillman Thomas,Mr Mitchell our people is still waiting ,Mr Mitchell, you and your minister of tourism claims that tourism in on the increase in Grenada but so is this Chikungunya thing which can deter people/tourist from coming to Grenada Mr Mitchell our people have been through slavery under our past Colonial Masters so why today you and your party is hell bent on taking us back into a form of mental slavery ?.
