TICKETS FOR “WINDIES-ENGLAND” CLASH IN GRENADA GO ON SA...
Ticket sales for the upcoming cricket match between West Indies and England will start at the end of March in Grenada. The announcement was made by the Minister responsible for Sports Hon. Emmalin Pierre at a recent Post Cabinet Briefing. The Minister advises the public to “be patient as possible as it relates to the purchasing of tickets.” The Sports Minister said tickets would be readily obtainable by persons late March with prices ranging from $15 to $40 a day. According to Minister Pierre, the sale of tickets would be managed by the West Indies Cricket Board but will be available from the office of the Grenada Cricket Association. Meanwhile marketing efforts for the April fixture in Grenada are being intensified, with locals and persons in the Diaspora being heavily targeted. Minister Pierre says the plan is to woo persons to Grenada not just to see the cricket match but to join residents in celebrating such an international match on the island. Source: gov.gd

Bro.The Observer ,over the years we have had a difference of agreeing to certain aspect of issues, but let me say that this time on the subject of the West Indies Cricket Team i will agree with you that this current bunch of so-call cricketers should hang their heads in shame for the shame and disgrace that they have brought our once lovely exciting and unbeatable Team to its knees by their recent performane during these last few years and also their performance during this current world cup matches ,and i am afraid tha the proposed England Tour of the Caribbean should be a platfor for letting these big heads show off West Indies Players that they are a disgrace to the beautiful game as we know it and that they should hang their heads in shame.

An effective medium of influencing change in any institution is to hurt its stakeholders where it hurts most-their pockets. Remember: money talks.

If the people or cricket fanatics want to see change in the management and performance of West Indies Cricket, they would demand change for the better and hold benefactors and stakeholders accountable and responsible. The Observer is advocating a boycott of the game to be played here in Grenada. Grenadians and cricket lovers in the region need to boycott the game until changes are made in West Indies cricket. Don't buy the tickets to the game. Don't travel to Grenada to see the game. Yes, the Observer is say to boycott the game.
