GRENADA BECOMES FIFTH COUNTRY TO SIGN VISA WAIVER AGREE...
The Grenada government announced last week that the island has become only the fifth nation in the world to sign a visa waiver accord with China. "Over the years we have had quite a number of visits from China, but up till now it has been largely higher-level persons on government-to-government business," Grenada Foreign Minister Clarice Modeste Curwen said in a statement. "But as our relationship strengthens, we need to have more people-to-people exchanges of the ordinary people so that there is a strengthening of the relationship and a better understanding of our cultures," she said. Curwen and China's ambassador to Grenada, Ou Boqian, signed the agreement on Wednesday, February 25, on the heels of the 10-year anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations. Curwen said that while the visa waiver allows for Grenada passport holders to enter China and China passport holders to enter Grenada, there are certain international regulations that must be respected.

GRENADA BECOMES FIFTH COUNTRY TO SIGN VISA WAIVER AGREE...
How many Grenadians can afford to visit China? This visa waiver does not benefit Grenadians.

The negroes, colonial minded and opportunists Bishop warned us about would forever cherish. It's does not surprise me that our past and current governments have always practiced/practice internal self hate, prejudice and reverse discrimination towards the very own people they were/are elected to work for. Let's look consider the following: an Indian, Chinese or no native Grenadian can come to the island and do business at huge tax and tariff breaks or waivers. On the contrary, if one of our diaspora folk should attempt to establish a business to employ Grenadians, then he would be put through hell and back before the business can get off the ground...notwithstanding the bribes he may be subjected to. Is that the miseducation of the negro race to always depend on others to meet their needs...is it colonial slave syndrome running through our DNA? Can someone explain why Barbados or most Bajans consider themselves children of Queen Elizabeth of England? Have some of you ever considered the fact that Willie Lynch, the author and strategist of "The Making of a Slave" otherwise known as the Willie Lynch Doctrine, actually developed the experiment on the island of Barbados...did you know that Barbados had the most deceitful slaves...they spied on each other for massa...everyone of them vied to work in Massa's kitchen and as a result spied and lied on each other?

It seems as though our government is moving in a direction that lead to mass immigration of Chinese looking for new territories and settlements. The visa waiver most definitely should cause some our people who have continuously refused to work the land, or try their hands at any possible business adventure, to take note and learn from the Chinese. The Chinese people are very innovative and would take anything and turn into an economic opportunity or generator. For example, currently they have taken over the construction industry on the island. They build better quality homes and at a fast rate of completion. They'd give you an estimate and stick to it. On the contrary, our very own people would double the construction cost, completion and down grade the quality of work in order to maximize their profits. Should we expect to see mass migration of native-Grenadian domestic workers, factory and industrial hopefuls heading to China in the coming years? The Observer is simply observing!

Bro,the Observer i note your concern and yes while there are positive things about our Government waivering the visa restrictions ,i can see problems way down the line re as you say mass immigrations into our country of cheap labour ,that being said you have quoted some of the current problems we have here in grenada re labour building cost within our construction industry as operated by some of our own so-called builders here in Grenada ,hence the problem some of these very builders will encounter with the waivering of the vias controls Grenadians you voted for the Rescue Party now you are having to witness the impact of our democractic rights and what sometimes come out of such decision.Just saying.

Then continue observing. You don't live abroad and listen to the hundredth of people who has fallen victim to the dishonest builders at home. Competition is good. Bring it on.

That's right. Something got to give. Our home grown builders created the problem, so here is the solution to it.Change never come without resistence, the choice is theirs to adjust to the change or crumble to the situation. As I said many people have fallen victim to them. Who feels it knows it. Competion is good. This has nothing to do with government as much as it has to deal with people's character.
