GRENADA LOWERS KICK 'EM JENNY ALERT LEVEL TO YELLOW
The Seismic Research Centre (SRC) at the University of the West Indies has reported that the activity levels at the Kick-‘em-Jenny submarine volcano just off the north coast of Grenada has reduced significantly over the weekend. No activity had been recorded since 6:00 pm on Saturday (July 25). On Saturday, at around 5:50 pm, a team including a volcanologist from the SRC, Grenada’s acting national disaster coordinator, and a camera person, participated in a fly over of the Kick-‘em-Jenny area by helicopter. The volcanologist, Dr Frederic Dondin, who has conducted extensive research on Kick-‘em-Jenny, concluded, after his observations, that there was absolutely nothing unusual in the area. Based on the above findings, and given the fact that the activity levels at Kick-‘em- Jenny has diminished, the government of Grenada, based on the advice of the SRC has lowered the alert level to Yellow with immediate effect. The yellow alert level means that vessels should observe a 1.5 km exclusion zone. However, as a precautionary measure, the marine community is advised to continue observing the 5 km exclusion zone. Ok so Ms Kick-Em-Jenny have gone quiet for now and if i must say so is our Pm Dr Kcm who my spies tells me was in London a few weeks ago and had an audience with Grenadians in the diaspora and friends of Grenada but what is also surprising to hear is that Dr Keith was not very impress with the turn out ,and he privately questioned Grenadians and their attitude to assisting in the developement of Grenada and her sister isle ,and when pressured to explain his meaning behind such outbust became well you know the man he revert to finger pointing and thumping the table without answering the question(point lost)he also goes as far as to say that Grenada is on the up and up with the planned investment in the Silver Sand Hotel Project, and the proposed Grenville seaport project(one should notice that no mention of that previous quoted St.Patrick port project "Mr Kenny Lalsingh" Baby) employment is down from 49 % when he took office compared to 29% today,he is paying back creditors, again he was asked about his explaination as he puts it "the state of (The good financial health )our country is now enjoying" compared that to when the last party was in office ,again that Million Dollar question was put to him about our Balance of payment to our various Creditors, again he beats around the Bush without giving a direct answer,it is also fair to say that for most of the time he made the point that he is a change man and how much he cares for his country, which no one doubted, and that he wants to see Grenada prosper and this could only be done by he and his Government in control,he also rejected the accusation by many persons who claims that he gives the impression it is all about HIM,which he also rejected, living those who attanded this meeting were not the wiser as to where our country is heading under yes HIM Dr Keith,it is also fair to mention that the PM made no mention of the proposed Constitutional working party for change taking place in Grenada under the watch of Mr Francis Alexis Qc and his constitutional working team,so to conclude this meeting was a poorly attended gathering with nothing much learned from the PM and his Rescue party, except to say that Borrowing and High Taxes will continue to be the Norm in Grenada, yes we are still looking for those REAL Investors ,promise by the Pm and his party they said would come and invest in our people example our infrastructure, our agro industry, our Education system, our Medical system ,yes real investment that would put our people back into a working environment and instead of Handouts assist them with a Handup, yes lets look towards places like St Andrews,St Patrick, parishes that was once vibrant in its trading ,now today they are like ghost towns with many idle hands young and old ,still awaiting for that promise delivery Train by Dr Keith and his party,so Dr Mitchell yes you are correct sir the problem we all face here in grenada is not about the people,Dr Keith it is about YOU and Your party and the promises made to our people to win that last election.
