NEW PARTNERSHIP TO OFFER CUBA FLIGHTS AND TOURS FROM GR...
BedyEasy-Sky, a merged tour operation and air transportation service between BEDY Travel in Grenada and Easy Sky, an airline with more than 36 years of experience in Honduras, plans to offer flights and tours to Cuba from a number of Caribbean countries. Easy-Sky airline will be operating a fleet of 737-500 planes with a capacity of 120 passengers from Honduras to Cuba via Grenada and Saint Lucia. The stated objective of the operation is to connect the Caribbean to Cuba, delivered in a differentiated way from regular everyday regional flights, in that the service is tour-related for regional and international tourists that would be uniquely packaged as well as individual tickets that would be available to travel to Cuba, Honduras and other Caribbean destinations on the route to Cuba. “We intend to operate this service to complement and enhance the regional travel experience that’s differentiated, thus allowing Caribbean customers/tourists to enjoy the Cuban experience as a vacation destination (and vice versa),” said Diana Ross, director BEDY Travel. The operation will be focused on providing air transportation services for: 1) Passengers/tourists; 2) Light cargo; and 3) Courier services. The specialized services for tourist/passengers are: a) Vacation tourism – consisting of 7 and 15 days package in Havana; and b) Health tourism – consisting of special surgery treatment at various hospitals and other top medical treatment centres. During April, flights will leave Grenada to Cuba at 7:30am on Fridays and, beginning in May, on Mondays and Thursdays. The route will consist of Grenada – Saint Lucia – Honduras – Havana. The flight would take approximately 5-5:30 hours to the final destination compared to 15-22 hours using other flights that have to go through Panama, Venezuela and other destinations to Cuba. “As our business grows and attracts more customers we intend to add other routes, on different days, into Cuba that would include Guyana, Trinidad, Barbados, etc,” Ross said. “BedyEasy-Sky will sell its tickets and complete bookings via selected travel agents in each country of operation to ensure that we spread our business for others to benefit. Specific prices and booking procedures and detail of contracts will be shared with these selected agents who would like to work with us,” she concluded. Source: Caribbean News Now
