ST. GEORGE’S – MAY 2015 – Two lucky Players of the National Lotteries Authority’s Scratch games received their personal-type prizes, after having won in the recently-concluded Scratch Tickle Your Fancy 2nd-Chance Draw Promotion. The promotion, which was held throughout the month of April, was drawn on Friday, 6th May. Mrs. Celina Caesar who is originally from Petite Martinique but resides in St. Georges, won the third and second prizes – an off-island escape for 2 persons for one night to the Sister-Isle of Carriacou and a mini-refrigerator, respectively. General Manager of the NLA – Mr. Geoffrey Gilbert handed over the 3rd and 2nd prizes to Mrs. Caesar. Speaking at the handover ceremony, Mr. Gilbert congratulated Mrs. Caesar, and said, “You, as one of the persons who have been playing the games of the NLA, it is really an honour and privilege for us to make this presentation to you.” Mrs. Caesar travelled to Carriacou with her companion on May 16th and retuned on May 17th – Whit Monday, boasting of a well-spent all-expense-paid holiday, for which she repeatedly expressed her gratitude to the NLA. Mr. Frank Scott of Gouyave, St. John’s was the top-prize winner of a 6-burner barbecue pit, along with a large drinks-cooler, which were also handed-over by Mr. Gilbert. The General Manager thanked Mr. Scott for playing the games of the NLA. “I understand that you have been playing for over 20 years. We want to thank you for that, and we also want to ask that you encourage others to play.” Mr. Scott also thanked the NLA and described his feelings as being blessed to have won, since he had submitted one entry in the Tickle Your Fancy Promotion. “When they called me to tell me that I had won, I was very amazed; so, I am very grateful. Thanks, NLA!” A total of EC$4,614.93 was paid by the NLA for prizes. 2 new games were launched for the promotion also: “Wild Money” and “Money See Money Do”. Marketing Manager of the NLA - Ms. Reecé Sam spoke of the NLA’s strategic direction regarding promotions. She said, “Our goal at the NLA is to have promotions that will create added value for our customers. That has been our focus for 2016, thus far. We are happy to see that they are customers who would’ve previously won, and returned.” Mr. Scott was one of the earliest winners in Daily Cash 4, having won $10,000 in December 2015. Mrs. Caesar has won in numerous promotions held by the NLA. Ms. Sam thanked the winners and all participants of the promotion. Currently, the NLA has another promotion on: “Pet ‘n’ Powder”.
