Regional environmentalists are scheduled to attend a workshop on the implementation of Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs) that will be hosted by the secretariat of the Caribbean Community (Caricom). The “Training of Trainers workshop on mainstreaming” MEAs that will be held at the Secretariat, is aimed at providing persons in the environment sector with practical ways in which they can implement the MEAs and also to introduce the methodologies to students and other stakeholders to expand their use in environmental practice in the region. The opening ceremony of the workshop on June 21, will be addressed by Dr Douglas Slater, Caricom’s Assistant Secretary General in charge of Human and Social Development. Source: ja observer
