JETBLUE LAUNCHES MINT PREMIUM SERVICE TO GRENADA
JetBlue will offer its successful Mint premium service to Grenada starting in January 2017. JetBlue is a top airline in the Caribbean and Grenada will become the fifth Mint market in the region. Mint flights are now on sale and will operate seasonally on Saturdays between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Grenada’s Maurice Bishop International Airport (GND) through April 2017. “We are thrilled to introduce Mint to a fifth Caribbean route, where customers are paying too much for so-called premium service,” said Dave Clark, vice president network planning at JetBlue. “Our customers are quickly discovering Grenada and its world class beaches, attractions, and luxury resorts. Now customers traveling between New York and this Caribbean gem can enjoy the finest service and comfort during their flight." Mint launched in 2014 on transcontinental flights between busy east and west coast cities where it quickly won over travelers, outperformed financial expectations and stimulated a new market for premium travel. With the introduction of Mint to the Caribbean last year, JetBlue quickly realized that leisure customers visiting some of the top destinations in the region were also craving a higher level of service. Travelers to Grenada – like those bound for Barbados, Aruba, St Maarten and St Lucia—will enjoy the longest fully-flat bed in the US domestic premium market, including four private suites, and a 15-inch flat screen with complimentary entertainment options. Customers also enjoy a signature cocktail, a tapas-style menu, fresh espresso from the first purpose-built cappuccino machine for a US airline, amenity kits by Birchbox, and dessert from Blue Marble and Mah-ze-Dahr Bakery. “JetBlue has proven to be a very strategic airline partner for Grenada, offering a flight service from New York, our largest visitor source market,” said minister for tourism and civil aviation, Dr Clarice Modeste-Curwen. “The responses from visitors and the Grenadian Diaspora have been very positive, so much so that the initial twice-weekly flights increased to four flights per week. We are pleased to welcome this premium experience that gives travelers more options.” Source: Caribbean News Now

JETBLUE LAUNCHES MINT PREMIUM SERVICE TO GRENADA
Spice Gyal and Joe i totally endosed both your response to this JetBlue Mint Premium Service to Grenada, and once again highlights that here we have this present Government in Grenada who allows big business in particular The Airline Industry and the Hotel Industry to dictate policies to then (our Government) especially where our people is concerned ,no surprise here and it is like this government and their people like to talk the talk of investors wanting to invest in grenada but as always with little or no benifits to our grenadian people yet ministers claims to love grenada and our grenadian people as quoted several times by our current P.M. yet always sells our country and our grenadian people short to foreign so-called investors.

This is unacceptable for we Grenadians who wants to travel from NY to the spice isle, the price from NY to Grenada is ridiculously expensive whether is peak season or not. I think the government should do a better job in negotiation with the airline industries, why is the price for a ticket during the carnival season is so HIGH? Even for Christmas it's already sky high. Grenada is the only Island you cannot just pick up and say you're going to without costing you a arm and a leg. I see deals for other Caribbean countries and it's nowhere compare to what you have to pay to visit Grenada, we Grenadians have to do something about this instead of just sitting an accepting whatever is given to us.
