OPPOSITION LEADER CALS FOR CALM
St. George’s, Grenada – January 10th 2012: Former Prime Minister Dr Keith Mitchell, commenting on the events following the death of Mr. Oscar Bartholomew said, "No one could deny the pain and disappointment the nation is justly feeling at this time as the country continues to witness an outpouring of emotions from the people especially the residents of St David, over the death of Mr. Oscar Bartholomew on December 27th under tragic circumstances." Dr Mitchell continue by saying, " While no amount of sympathy, no amount of tribute will bring back Mr. Bartholomew to us, we must give his wife, children, his mother and other family members, relatives and friends all the support as they mourn. As a party, we will continue to stand with them during this difficult time." Being mindful of the expressions of deep passion and anxiety displayed by many who have been directly or indirectly affected by the death, He commented “We take this moment to call on all concerned for calm, to exercise restraint and allow an independent investigation to be conducted free from all pressures. As a Christian people we must all be reminded that this incident is a tragedy for the country, a tragedy for the family of Oscar Bartholomew and a tragedy for the young police officers who are accused and their immediate family.” Dr. Mitchell is also appealing to the general public during this period of mourning to refrain from maligning and attacking the Royal Grenada Police Force as an organization. He said the RGPF regardless of the current circumstances is still the organization responsible for our security, defense and the protection of our democracy. The Former Prime Minister again appeals to all concern especially the Prime Minister and Minister for National Security to ensure that an independent and transparent investigation is conducted.

Stallion and Gabe, I have 'nough respect for both of you, however, I have come to the conclusion to never compromise my beliefs. I will forever attack everyone who I think is misinforming and attempting to mislead the people. Gabe, I'll continue to attack you as long as you remain bias, partial and unfair in your views. Whenever I sign in to GC and see you are supporting Tillman Thomas unjustly , or going against Keith Mitchell in an bias manner, I am going to come after you with full force. I expect objectivity from you and everyone else. I want to see the good and bad about both Tillman Thomas and Keith Mitchell. I am a Pitbull. I bite like hell when injustice is done. I am the lone ranger...I am after exposing everyone who thinks he/she is above the law.

Gabe, to you and those socal, in the box thinking Grenada who may see me as dangerous as you assume, I wish to inform you that once a person comes out and say it as it is, challenges the status quo, encourage social change, injustice, irresponsibility, unfairness and takes a stand for the voiceless and unheard, some of you Grenadians have and will forever continue to see him or her as threat and danger to the state. And get this, social change is not a call for violent overthrow of a government. Social change means the ability to influence intellectual change, reason to cause people to examine themselves and what's going on within their environment and, if possible, organize themselve to correct wrongs.
