STATEMENT BY PRIME MINISTER HON. TILLMAN THOMAS
Today the Prime Minister commenced a process towards deciding on the status of Hon. Joseph Gilbert as a member of the Cabinet. In this respect the Prime Minister, having certain troubling information before him pertaining to what appears to be a serious breach of Cabinet principles, decided that he would proceed by way of bringing the matter to the knowledge of the Minister concerned and intimating to him the action he is intending to take. He also met with and informed his Cabinet of the situation. As a result of consideration at the level of Cabinet it was agreed that clarification should be obtained regarding one aspect of the issue. The Prime Minister is satisfied that it was appropriate for him to hear the views of the members of Cabinet and that it was very important, out of an abundance of caution, to obtain the additional information before confirming his course of action. Accordingly, the Prime Minister anticipates that he would come to a decision on this matter very shortly whereupon he will duly inform his Cabinet and the general public.

The Enlightener, you are purely a big joke. Why should Keith Mitchell and Bowen be arrested and jailed? It's people like you who piss me off. You Grenadians sit on your hard black idle asses and crying out foul because Keith and Gregory were not arrested, tried and sent to the slammer while your same bloody government particiapted in the release and employment of the Bernard and Phyllis Coard, Hudson Austin, Leon "Bogo" Cornwall, Cecil Prime, Ventura, Selwyn Strachan and others. The damage done by the Gang of 17 far outweighs that of Keith and Gregory. Keith Mitchell and NNP and Tillman Thomas and NDC should all be charged with treason for the particiaption in the release and employment of the Gang of 17. You want to tell me that the British Privy Council was able to come into Grenada and demand the release and employment of the Gang 17 and none of our political leaders-NNP and NDC screamed out loud? Isn't something wrong here...and you'd vote them right back into office! Grenadians, your ignorance, stupidity, self-centered mem mine my and I attitude, refusal to read and learn would forever be the obstacle to Grenada's forward leep.

This is very interesting. As the saga continues to unfold with the divisions within the NDC,for Grenada sake lets not degenerate into diatribe. It is an already bad situation, lets not let it get worse by making nonfactual statement. We were fed daily with accusations of corruption in the former government and they had the evidence and was just waiting to be elected to jail Keith and Gregory, well it seems like we cant arrest them because we dont have any evidence. Joe Gilbert alleged corruption is it a case we are paying for the seeds we have sown or is it a case where uncle Tilly knows he will loose the next election and dont want the evidence to come out with all these corruption in his party and he kept is covered for years

Bravo, at least Grenadians have an idea of what's going on. When Keith Mitchell was in office for 13 YEARS we didn't have a clue, not until he was out of office. I hope we don't make a stupid mistake and put him back in office.
