The funeral service for the late Malcolm James will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at St. Marks United Methodist Church (2017 Beverly Road, Brooklyn, NY).The viewing is from 3-5 pm the funeral services begins at 5PM

Malcolm “Santa” was born on October 18, 1959 in Beaulieu, St. George’s, Grenada to his parents, Marriam and Alphonso James. The family relocated to River Road, St. George’s where he and his siblings grew up. He attended the St. George’s RC Boy’s School. Thereafter, he lived in Trinidad for some time, and later returned to Grenada at which point he worked at the Grenada General Post Office. In 1998 “Santa” migrated to the US. He married Alison Salfarlie in September 2004. During his life in New York he worked at a few well-known retail businesses such as Macy’s, Bed Bath & Beyond and Home Depot among others.
Malcolm has two children: Arsenio James, who works on Norwegian Cruise Ship, and Nisha McBurnie in La Mode, St. George’s. and one Step-daughter: Nichole Salfarlie.
His brothers are Michael James in Grenada, Arnold James in Trinidad, Augustine James and Dexter Tyrell in the US; Derrick James - Grenada’s Consul General in Toronto.
Sisters: Moreen Herry of River Road, Gladys Walters and Janice Felix of La Borie, St. Paul’s, Annmarie St. Louis and Winnifred James in the NY.
Many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews including: Alanna James, Illicsha Jeremiah- Edwards, Leslie Ann Forester, Nathan Tyrell, Keino James, Michelle James in the US; and Daniel Walters, Shonielle James, Anna Herry, Kesha Bascombe in Grenada , and Wendell Felix working on Norwegian Cruise Ship;
Uncles, Tony Hynes and Daniel Strachan in the US;
Many cousin including, Cheryl Beckles in NY;
Sisters-in-law, Erva James in NY, Ingrid Bascombe and Jacqueline Salfarlie in Grenada; brothers-in-law, Henry Felix, Randolph St. Louis, Jeffrey and Clinton Salfarlie in Grenada, Calvin Allen in Toronto, and Richard Salfarlie in NY.
Many other close friends and family including: the Francis family of Vendome and Salfarlie family of La Borie, Grenada, and Marshall family of Laventille, Trinidad. Malcolm “Santa” James died peacefully at Kings County Hospital Center, Brooklyn, NY on March 18, 2017 at the age of 57.
