Details:

The death is announced of the late Mr. Giles Giles Anthony Pierre Sr who was born on March 15, 1968 to George Pierre and Joyce Charles in St. George, Grenada. He grew up in Beaulieu and as a child, he loved playing marbles and soccer. From a young age he started working and soon after developed a strong work ethic. Some of the job positions he held in Grenada were a restaurant worker, construction helper and bus conductor. However, he normally made time to be able to play his favorite sport, soccer. He attended Beaulieu Primary School, Boca Junior Secondary School, and Boca Secondary School. A few years later he moved to St. Thomas where he continued working hard. The following year he moved to Brooklyn, NY. After another year Karen Penny, his future wife, joined him in NY. They were subsequently married on June 20, 1992. The following year they had their first child, Giles Pierre Jr. Four years later their second son, Kareem Pierre, was born. In 2006 they had a daughter named Garnel Pierre. Throughout his life he held many positions but mostly did construction work and maintenance work in a hospital setting. Due to his hard work ethic, he loved working even in his spare time. He also loved watching soccer matches on TV and would oftentimes tell his family of the stories of him playing soccer as a child. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and making them laugh. On Wednesday, September 17, 2014 his spirit went to be with the Lord. He is survived by his wife Karen Pierre, and children Giles Jr, Kareem and Garnel. Also his parents George Pierre and Joyce Charles. His siblings Louis(Mike) Pierre, Maxwell Pierre Sr, Hazel-Ann Thomas, Allistair Charles, and Cecilia(Lily) Pierre. Along with nephews, nieces, a grandnephew, a grandniece, uncles, aunts, cousins, in-laws and friends.
