It is with great sadness that the family of Cecil Lessey better known as “Lovell” announces his passing on Sunday August 2nd,2020 at the age of 57 years. He was a beloved son,brother,uncle and friend to many. Cecil “Lovell” Lessey was born on September 27th, 1962 in the small village of La.Taste St.Patrick’s Grenada to Ruth Lessey and Kingsley Cornwall. In 1989 he migrated to Brooklyn, New York where he resided until his passing. He lived a carefree and unapologetic life doing what he loved, pursuing a career in the culinary industry. When he wasn’t working Cecil enjoyed being the amateur family photographer and carnival enthusiast. Cecil was predeceased by his parents Ruth Lessey and Kingsley Cornwall. He will be lovingly remembered by his brothers: Kennie, John and Lenox; sisters: Merriel, Carol, Yvette, Beverly and Joylyn. Nieces and Nephews: Shonta, Coretta, Ashley, Alisha, Micheal , Kamal, Kuta , Trent , Tyrick, Jazer and Kerri. Brother-in-Law Bounty James and sister-in-Law Allison Lessie; numerous grandnieces and grandnephews. He also leaves to cherish his lifelong memory friends: Hanky, Helena, Vondel , Alston , Lenox , Gloria ,Steven , Yoland and Val.
