The funeral service for the late Rupert Ethelbert Linck will be held on Saturday, September 30th 2023 at St Matthew's Roman Catholic Church, 1123 Eastern Pkwy Brooklyn, NY 11213.

On Thursday September 14, 2023 Rupert Ethelbert Linck transitioned peacefully at New Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital at 12:50 PM, at the age of 89 years. Born September 9, 1934 in St.George's Estate , St. George's Grenada to Amos Lawrence and Florence Linck.The oldest of 12 children, he attended Beaulieu Roman Catholic School, upon completion he entered an apprenticeship in masonry, and worked in that field for many years.
As a young man , Rupert traveled and worked in several countries including , Tartola, Bermuda and the US, creating a better life for his family, returning to the US in 1975
At an early age Rupert's parents instilled in him the discipline and value of hard work that shaped his young life into the man that he would become. He was a caring, wise, trusting, father, brother and friend. He had a passion for cooking and would often share his dishes.
He faced his illness with the same strength, grace and generosity of spirit with which he lived his life.
Those that left before him, his parents ,Father Amos and mother Florence.
Sisters, Cynthia, Sylvia and Rita. Brothers, Cecil, Phillip and Terry
Those he left behind to cherish his memories, daughters Irva Cryus and Ancill Thomas Clovis. Four grandchildren, Jacinta Cyrus Penny,
Eunet Horne, Cherise Brown, and Sheril Jones, Ten great-grand children. Sisters Lucy Cadore, Linda Hyppolite (Roslyn) Donna Linck Scott. Brothers Mark and Martin.
Several nieces and nephews, Including Joycelyn,Lorna, Risa-Ann, Donna, Lisa, Donyca, Wendy, Jenny, Nicole, Dorzel, David, Ken, Andre,Nigel, Damian, Michael-Amos Arthur, Amos, Chris and Junior. Many family and friends including the Lawrence,Fraser, Charles, Buckmire, Donald, Clouden, Attzs,Edwards, Johnson, Stewart,Nixon, Smith,Purcell,Edgehill, Botas,Edgehill, Wellington, Chase,Adolphus, Harris Cummings,Butler, Peters, and their families, many others too numerous to mention. Tenants of 1231 Lincoln Pl. Brooklyn.NY. Friends and family of LaMode , St.George's Estate Grenada, and the surrounding areas.
He was loved and would be missed. Let's us seek the joy in the wonderful memories he left us.
