Ronald Lewis was born on the island of Grenada in the parish of St. Andrew�s to Joyce �Cisley� Lewis and Adonis on January 23, 1944. He died peacefully and was called home on September 13, 2023. Ronald began his early education at the Birchgrove RC school and went on to St. Andrew�s Anglican Secondary School (SASS). Upon graduation, he was employed at the Spice Island hotel in the dining department. He later went on to become an entrepreneur and opened his first taxi service business where everyone knew him as Scarce-ah-flesh. From there, he wanted to explore more opportunities for himself and family and migrated to the United Stated in 1977. Ronald held many roles, but finally settling into his career as head maintenance lead until retirement. Ronald was an avid cricket watcher, family man who loved to travel and dance (he would open any dance floor and get the party started). In 1965, Ronald would meet the love of his life Verna where they both attended a $2.00 party to see the Rhythm Ryders band perform. This love would last for 58 years. Ronald is survived by his wife Verna Lewis, Children Rhonda Lewis, Rudy Lewis and Nicole Smith. Grandchildren Kylie Ventour and Osaze Lewis. Brother and sister-in laws Yvette Peters, Bernadette Williams, and Cecil Habin. Acknowledgements We would like to thank our family and friends for their support, comfort, and assistance during this difficult time. Our thanks go out to his cousins Cynthia and Yvonne Alexander, Joy Lewis, Dunbar Lewis, Jean Lewis-Baptiste. The Mitchell, Christopher, and Charles families. Extended family � The Murray, Thomas, Felix, Mitchell and Williams families. Lifelong friends Dennis Guillaume, George Antoine, Roy Bernard and to our guests for celebrating the life of our beloved patriarch.

Special Info  Funeral service will be held at St. Gabriel's Episcopal Church 331 Hawthorne Street, Brooklyn New York 11225. The viewing is scheduled for 5 PM and the service will begin at 6 PM.
