Anastasia Orelia George of Vendomme, St. George’s also known as “Cousin Orie” and “Nurse George”, a former nurse at the Richmond Hill Mental Hospital died on Sunday February 7, 2016 in New York , at the age of 85.
She is survived and will be dearly missed by her 3 daughters, Marva in Grenada; Uyronia and Walgenia in New York; a brother, Neville in Florida, USA.
11 grandchildren: Auda, Asha, Reba, Cherish, Jason, Chuck, Alyssa, Dwayne, Darryl, Hannah and Rebecca. 9 great-grandchildren including Brandon.
2 Sons-in-law: Franklyn and Peter.
Granddaughters-in-law and grandson-in-law including Gadaffi. One sister-in-law, Marita Mary Modeste.
Nephews and nieces including Wayne Modeste, Hazel-Ann, Wendy, Leo, Jackie Leeben and the Modeste family of Trinidad and Dale Edgehill of New York. A God-son: Altheus Joseph.
Other relatives and friends including Pope, Lincoln Marryshow and family, Queenie Francis and family, Rev.Harold Andrews and family, the Langdon and Baptiste families of New Hampshire, Avis Daniel, Carlyle George, Cecil Joseph, Avril, Venice, Jennie Frank and family, Sheryl, Valrita, Centill, Lynette, Godfrey, Keith, Rev. Ampadoo and the congregants of Constantine Methodist Church, Rev. T. Anne Daniel and congregants of Wakefield Grace UMC, Bronx , NY. Other friends from Vendomme, Boca, Willis and surrounding areas.
Funereal services will be in Grenada on Tuesday, February 23 at 1:30 PM at the Constantine Methodist Church. Interment will be at the Vendomme cemetery.
