It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Jessica Ferguson Wharwood, on October 21, 2023, at the age of 70.
Patricia, affectionately known as Pat, was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She was born in St George�s Parish on August 19, 1953. She spent most of her early childhood on Tyrrell St. and later moved to Lucas Street. She attended St George�s Anglican Junior and Senior School then Anglican High School in Tanteen. After graduating from high school, she joined the Accounting Firm of Panell Fitzpatrick where she was employed until she migrated to the USA in 1978.
She continued her education and employment in various top financial institutions in the United States such as JP Morgan Chase, Citigroup, Bank of New York, and Morgan Stanley. During her years as a Tax and Payroll Analyst, she enjoyed utilizing her love of numbers and problem-solving.
Patricia was surrounded by the love and warmth of her cherished family during her transition. She is survived by her husband Lennox Wharwood, her pride and joy, her only daughter Tammy, devoted son-in-law Shaun, bonus grandson Shaun "Little", the apple of her eye, her adoring granddaughter Summer, mother-in-law Ena Wharwood, and a host of loving family and friends. Pat was preceded in death by her mother Cynthia Ferguson, grandmother Ermyntrude "Baby" Alder, and her dearest brother-in-law, Leonard "Junior" Wharwood.
Patricia will be dearly missed, but her spirit, strength, and amazing sense of humor, will continue to shine brightly through the irreplaceable memories we all hold. Her memory will forever live on in all of our hearts.
