This annual tournament attracts fishermen from around the world with cash prizes totalling EC$100,000 for first, second and third place boats. Individual prizes are also given for the biggest game fish.

  FISHERMAN'S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATlONS
Gouyave in the parish of Sat John's is the most popular town for this celebration. Church services and the blessing of fishermen boats and nets followed by boat races and late afternoon street festivals. Celebrations are also held in Carriacou.

03   40th ANNUAL CARRIACOU REGATTA
Started in 1965 by the late Linton J. Riggs as a mere boat- racing event, the festival has grown to include a large number of sporting and cultural activities

13   GRENADA'S CARNIVAL
The island comes alive during this carnival celebration with Kiddies, Steel band and Calypso Competitions. Jouvert, Traditional Mas and a Parade of the Bands on Monday and Tuesday bring everyone together during this exciting period. The Monday and Tuesday are Public Holidays.
